Welcome to Olden 1772

“ I visited Olden 1772 and had a very enjoyable experience overall. The setting is one of the restaurant’s strongest features — a beautiful high-ceiling space with a large skylight that floods the room with natural light. The architecture feels historic yet elegant, creating a relaxed but refined atmosphere that immediately sets the tone for the meal. We started with the Kale Salad (8/10) and Yedikule Salad (8/10). Both were fresh, well balanced, and nicely executed, offering clean flavors and good texture without trying too hard. Among the hot starters, the Octopus Tandoori (8.5/10) stood out — well cooked, tender, and flavorful — closely followed by the Lamb Liver (8.5/10), which was rich, nicely seasoned, and confidently prepared. For mains, we tried the Beef Rib Tirit (8/10) and Beef Cheek (8/10). Both dishes were comforting and satisfying, with good depth of flavor and solid execution. While not overly complex, they were done in a sophisticated way to fit the restaurant’s style perfectly. Service was attentive and smooth, adding to the overall experience without feeling intrusive. The combination of strong ambiance, well-prepared dishes, and a calm, elegant setting makes Olden 1772 an excellent choice for a relaxed lunch or dinner. Overall, this is a place I would happily return to for me to try the remaining dishes and for the atmosphere. ”

“ I had to visit this restaurant during our stay in Istanbul!! I made reservations about 6 weeks before our trip to make sure we could eat there without issue. We came for lunch right on time and were seated right away. This restaurant is absolutely breathtaking!! Very old European architecture with amazing natural lighting coming in from the glass ceiling above. It took a few minutes for someone to service us, but once we got started the experience was excellent. The cocktails were very well made with fresh ingredients. All the food was delicious!! The presentation and quality of the food was top notch. We enjoyed eating here very much ”

Imge helped us with everything since we booked and was very responsive all the time from choosing the menu, decorating the room, and handling all the little details. Even on the day of the event, when we had an issue with the cake delivery, she took care of it smoothly so we didn’t have to stress for a second. The set menu was delicious, the service was fantastic, and the team was always available. The restaurant itself is stunning, calm, and elegant. Highly recommended! ”
